At this time, we are primarily serving the pets of Leadville and Lake County. We are offering care at our "stationary days" parking location near downtown Leadville- booking an appointment at this location will avoid the additional travel fees listed below which will apply to all Home Visits (house calls). *Please note- these fees are in addition to the exam fees listed and any other service fees performed during the visit.*
This zone includes travel within 10 minutes of downtown Leadville. It encompasses homes "in-town" and extends to homes in the Lake Fork Mobile Home Park, Moutain Valley Estates Mobile Home Park, and the Mountain View Village Mobile Home Park.
This zone includes travel within 10-30 minutes of downtown Leadville. It encompasses homes "outside of town" off of highway 24 and highway 91 as well as homes in Twin Lakes.
This includes travel beyond 30 minutes of downtown Leadville and the rate will be calculated on a case-by-case basis and be based on your location, our availability, weather conditions, and services requested. It will be subject to both a minimum service fee and fee per mile. Please email us at info@modernmobilevet and include your address and services requested to get more information.
We will do our best to accommodate requests for urgent care of emergency situations that arise after our daily office hours. Please understand that our availability will depend on several factors, included but not limited to access to childcare, family commitments, scheduled time-off, and for some cases, additional vet assistant availability. Some patients may also require care beyond what our facility can provide. Please see the HOME page for contact info of other Urgent Care/ ER Vet facilities

This section includes fees for humane euthanasia and options for after-care such as transport of the body for private or communal cremation. We are making arrangements with Ark Valley Humane Society in Bunea Vista to transport pets to them for cremation since Leadville does not have a crematorium. Pet owners may also choose to bring their pet to a cremation facility of their choosing after euthanasia is performed. We understand these are difficult decisions, please contact us with any questions
Includes sedation to help reduce stress and induce a calm/ "twilight" state. Euthanasia is then performed by giving an IV injection of a medication that stops the heart from beating. It is quick and virtually painless; the pet simply appears to fall asleep. If you would prefer for this service to be performed in your home, please refer to "Travel Fees" section above for the additional Home Visit fee based on your location.
Modern Mobile Vet will transport the body for private (individual) cremation to Ark Valley Humane Society. This fee includes costs associated with transport and the private cremation, where the pet's remains are returned to you in the form of ashes.
